August 5: I took a Greyhound bus ("the DOG") from Wilmington DE to Port Authority NYC. Below are pictures from my walk from the bus terminal in Port Authority to the High Line.
Walk through the High Line...about the High Line:
"The High Line is a public park built on a 1.45-mile-long elevated rail structure running from Gansevoort St. to 34th St. on Manhattan’s West Side.
The High Line was founded by neighborhood residents in 1999 to prevent the elevated rail track from being demolished. With the close partnership of the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation, the High Line has transformed into a public space where every New Yorker and visitor is welcome and can experience the intersection of nature, art, and design."
Subway to hotel (Ink 48). Stopped by Times Square. I said hi to Spiderman & King Kong. Saja Boys even got a shout out in Times Square (the young whippersnappers will probably know who that is 😜).
Hotel checkin time! Rediculously awesome view. View of Manhatten skyskyline facing the east.
Stroll through Central Park
Grandma & grandpa arrived! (do you like my over & under exposed pictures 😝)
August 7th: Boarded the cruise the next day! Pictures of Manhattan (ship is currently traveling south on the Hudson river)
Pictures facing New Jersey!
Sitting at the bow of the ship & about to pass under the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. As we pass this bridge, we leave the Upper Bay & head deeper into the Atlantic!
Tune in next for.....our first day at SEAAAA!
